Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-08-202 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 3RD PARTIAL (AND FINAL) PAYMENT TO VOLK <br />SEWER & WATER, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-17 (RETENTION <br />POND, UTILITY, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR MCKINLEY STREET EAST) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the <br />above referenced work by motion on January 23, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 9, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-07-166 <br />awarding the bid to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the retention pond, utility, and street <br />improvements for McKinley Street East (Improvement Project #96-17); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, previous payments have been made to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. <br />amounting to $169,939.42; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. in the amount of $15,898.15. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for <br />the retention pond, utility, and street improvements for McKinley Street East <br />(Improvement Project #96-17) in the amount of $15,898.15. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the month of August 1997. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this <br /> resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
