Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-08-202 RESOLUTION APPROVING 3RD PARTIAL (AND FINAL) PAYMENT TO VOLK SEWER & WATER, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-17 (RETENTION POND, UTILITY, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR MCKINLEY STREET EAST) WHEREAS, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work by motion on January 23, 1996; and WHEREAS, on July 9, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-07-166 awarding the bid to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the retention pond, utility, and street improvements for McKinley Street East (Improvement Project #96-17); and WHEREAS, previous payments have been made to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. amounting to $169,939.42; and WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. in the amount of $15,898.15. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the retention pond, utility, and street improvements for McKinley Street East (Improvement Project #96-17) in the amount of $15,898.15. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of August 1997. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
