Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-09-247A <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RAMSEY TO ENTER INTO A MULTI- <br />AGENCY AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ANOKA COUNTY AUTO <br />THEFT TASK FORCE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cities of Anoka, Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Lino <br />Lakes, Ramsey, Spring Lake Park, St. Francis, Circle pines and Lexington and the county of <br />Anoka have expressed an interest in participating in a multi-agency Auto theft Task Force; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the above names cities, under the name of the Anoka County Auto Theft <br />Task Force, applied for and received a Minnesota Department of Public Safety Auto Theft <br />Prevention Board grant in the amount of $115,528.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the grant requires that all participating agencies sign a multi-agency <br />agreement; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey agrees to participate in the Anoka County Auto Theft Task <br />Force and enter into a Multi-Agency Agreement to that effect. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City's Mayor is authorized to sign the Multi-Agency Agreement on behalf of the <br />City. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
