Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-12-334 RESOLUTION APPROVING 2ND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO C. ,W. HOULE, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #97-18 (SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION TO ALPINE ADDITION) WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved this project on February 25, 1997; and WHEREAS, on July 22, 1997, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution #97-07-181 awarding the bid to C. W. Houle, Inc. for the extension of sanitary sewer and watermain to Alpine Addition (Improvement Project #97-18); and WHEREAS, previous payment has been made to C.W. Houle, Inc. for Improvement Project #97-18 in the amount of $154,985.38. WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to C. W. Houle, Inc. in the amount of $4,894.27. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to C. W. Houle, Inc. for the extension of sanitary sewer and watermain to Alpine Addition (Improvement Project #97- 18) in the amount of $4,894.27. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of December 1997. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Haas Steffen Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman
