Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-03-038 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1997 FINAL BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOCATING EXCESS REVENUES FROM THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUND WHEREAS, during the year 1997, the Ramsey City Council acted on matters impacting revenue and expenditures budgets of the City's General Fund for items that were not included in the original budget for the year ended December 31, 1997; and WHEREAS, it has been determined there are excess revenues over and above amounts necessary to meet the fund balance requirements for the year ended December 31, 1997; and WHEREAS, the City is currently in the process of updating its comprehensive plan and requires $30,000 of additional funding over and above the already identified funding sources; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee recommended at their February 24, 1998 meeting that the City Council adopt a budget amendment for 1997 allocating $30,000 from excess revenues from 1997 to the Comprehensive Plan Fund; and WHEREAS, for financial reporting purposes, amendments to the City's General Fund Budget are to be made in the form of a Budget Amendment Resolution. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that the City Council hereby directs the Finance Officer to amend the 1997 General Fund Budget by implementing a transfer to the Comprehensive Plan Fund in the amount of $30,000. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Haas Steffen and the following voted against the same: None
