Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-03-038 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1997 FINAL BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF ALLOCATING EXCESS REVENUES FROM THE CITY'S <br />GENERAL FUND TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUND <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during the year 1997, the Ramsey City Council acted on matters <br />impacting revenue and expenditures budgets of the City's General Fund for items that <br />were not included in the original budget for the year ended December 31, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined there are excess revenues over and above <br />amounts necessary to meet the fund balance requirements for the year ended December <br />31, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is currently in the process of updating its comprehensive <br />plan and requires $30,000 of additional funding over and above the already identified <br />funding sources; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee recommended at their February 24, 1998 <br />meeting that the City Council adopt a budget amendment for 1997 allocating $30,000 <br />from excess revenues from 1997 to the Comprehensive Plan Fund; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, for financial reporting purposes, amendments to the City's General <br />Fund Budget are to be made in the form of a Budget Amendment Resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that the City <br />Council hereby directs the Finance Officer to amend the 1997 General Fund Budget by <br />implementing a transfer to the Comprehensive Plan Fund in the amount of $30,000. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
