Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-03-042 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHOR/ZING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING RELATING <br />TO HIGHWAY #10 ACCESS CONTROL AT BURGER KING SITE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City concurs that providing safe and efficient transportation is in the <br />best interest of the public; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has an opportunity to work with the State and the developer of the <br />proposed Burger King site at the intersection of Highway #10 and County Road #56, to provide a <br />safer access point than existing property rights allow; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding has been presented to the <br />City to facilitate the above. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Administrator be authorized to enter into the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding relating to this project. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City staff be directed to facilitate the necessary discussions between the Anoka <br />West Pet Hospital and the Burger King developer to achieve a safer, combined access. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
