Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-03-044 RESOLUTION APPROVING 2ND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO NIEMAN ROOFING COMPANY FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #97-24 (CITY HALL ROOF REPLACEMENT) WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the plans and specifications for the City Hall roof replacement (Improvement Project #97-24) on August 26, 1997; and WHEREAS, on September 23, 1997, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #97- 09-290 awarding the bid to Nieman Roofing Company for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, previous payment has been made to Nieman Roofing Company for Improvement Project #97-24 in the amount of $16,329.80; and WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Nieman Roofing Company in the amount of $23,010.25. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Nieman Roofing Company for the City Hall roof replacement (Improvement Project #97-24) in the amount of $23,010.25. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of March 1998. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Haas Steffen Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman
