Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the folloWing resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-03-054 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-13 (PUMPING FACILITY FOR WELL NO. 4) FOR WHEREAS, on May 13, 1997, the Ramsey City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above-referenced work; and WHEREAS, on February 10, 1998, the Ramsey City Council passed Resolution #98-02- 030 approving the plans and specifications for the pumping facility for Well No. 4 (Improvement Project #98-13) and authorizing the advertisement for bids; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project #98-13, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on March 13, 1998; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Bidder Base Bid Alternate #2 Alternate #4 Total Bid EnComm Midwest, LLC Municipal Builders, Inc. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with EnComm Midwest, LLC in the name of the City of Ramsey for the pumping facility for Well No. 4 (Improvement Project #98-13) in the amount of $272,892.50. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to retum forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
