Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-05-101 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AND CALLING FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />ON IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-16 (BITUMINOUS PAVING AND CUL-DE- <br />SACING OF BISON STREET) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a petition for a feasibility study to consider the <br />improvement of bituminous paving and cul-de-sacing of Bison Street south of 171st Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has found the petition to be of the correct percentage <br />of lawful signatures of affected property owners; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has found the petition to be in accordance with the <br />City Charter and Minnesota Statutes concerning local improvements. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That a certain petition requesting a feasibility study to consider the improvement of <br />bituminous paving and cul-de-sacing of Bison Street south of 171st Avenue has been <br />filed with the City Council on May 26,1998. The petition is hereby declared to be signed <br />by the required percentage of affected property owners. This declaration is made in <br />conformity to City of Ramsey Code Section 4.60 and Minnesota Statute Chapter 429. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the petition is hereby referred to Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, and he is <br />instructed to prepare a feasibility study to the City Council with all convenient speed <br />advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is <br />feasible and as to the cost of the project to each affected property owner. The City <br />Engineer shall also comment as to whether it should best be done as proposed or in <br />conjunction with some other improvement. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the above mentioned project shall hereby be referred to as Improvement Project #98- <br />16. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
