Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-05-104 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0456 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM KEVIN AND MARY GROOTHOSEN FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />EXCEED THE TOTAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE AND THE MAXIMUM <br />SINGLE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE ALLOWED ON PARCELS 3 ACRES IN <br />SIZE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Kevin and Mary <br />Groothosen for a conditional use permit to exceed the total accessory structure space and the <br />maximum single accessory structure size allowed on the property generally known as 14915 <br />Puma Street NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Pine Shadows, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on April 21, 1998, Kevin and Mary Groothosen, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", <br />properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the total allowable accessory structure <br />space and the maximum single accessory structure size allowed on parcels three acres in size. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on May 5, 1998, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and the surrounding parcels to the north, east and west are zoned <br /> R-1 Rural Residential and the property to the south is zoned Industrial. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately 3.0 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That the surrounding parcels are undeveloped and outside the Metropolitan Urban Service <br /> Area. <br /> <br />6. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels 3 acres in size, the total <br /> of attached and detached garages or accessory buildings shall not exceed 2,464 square feet. <br /> <br />That the Applicants currently have 572 square feet of garage space, a 1,200 square foot <br />Quonset storage building, and until a fire in January of 1997, a 1,800 square foot pole <br />building; for a total of 3,572 square feet of garage and accessory building space. <br /> <br /> <br />
