Board Member Bawden introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION//98-06-106 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT//0457 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE NEARER THE <br />FRONT PROPERTY LINE THAN THE PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Richard Mitchell, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly <br />applied for a variance from Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code to construct an accessory <br />garage nearer the front property line than the principal structure on the property generally known <br />as 6415 172nd Lane N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block 1, Trott Brook Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the <br />Ramsey City Code on June 2, 1998, and that said public hearing was properly advertised, and <br />that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by <br />reference. <br /> <br />2. That the subject property is zoned R-1 Rtiral Residential and is approximately 2.7 acres in <br /> size. <br /> <br />3. That the subject property is surrounded by R-1 Rural Residential zoning developed with <br /> single family homes. <br /> <br />4. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code does not permit the construction of accessory <br /> structures nearer the front property line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />5. That the principal structure on the subject property is approximately 155 feet from the front <br /> property line. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicant is proposing to construct an accessory garage approximately 90 feet from <br /> the front property line. <br /> <br />That there are special conditions applying to the Subject Property that do not generally apply <br />to other properties in the district; namely the side and rear yards contain declining <br />topography, substantial mature tree growth, drainfield and alternative drainfield locations. <br /> <br />8. That the special conditions do not result frgm the actions of the Applicant. <br /> <br /> <br />
