Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-06-140 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPANSION OF OFFICE AREA AT PUBLIC <br />WORKS FACILITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the current office space in the Public Works facility is not large enough to <br />incorporate the addition of more staff. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the hiring of the Director of Public Works, there is only one office <br />area that has to be shared between this position and the Park and Public Work supervisors. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS estimates were asked of five contractors on the costs associated with <br />expanding the office area out into the shop area of the public works facility. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, two quotes were received, with the lower being Rosky Construction at a <br />bid of $8.357. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Facilities Construction Fund would fund these costs, as this fund <br />is used to account for the construction of public facilities such as the public works building and <br />the police building. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the hiring of Rosky Construction to <br />perform the expansion of the Public Works facility at a contracted cost of $8,357. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
