Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-07-158 RESOLUTION APPROVING 4TH PARTIAL AND FINAL PAYMENT TO LAKE CONTRACTING, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CONSTRUCTION OF ALPINE PARK) FOREST //97-21 WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved this project on June 10, 1997; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #97-09-252 awarding the bid to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. for the construction of Alpine Park (Improvement Project #97- 21); and WHEREAS, previous payments have been issued to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. for the construction of Alpine Park (Improvement Project #97-21) mounting to $253,548.90; and WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $66,183.74. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. for the construction of Alpine Park (Improvement Project #97-21) in the amount of $66,183.74. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of July 1998. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
