Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-09-220 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPRAISAL OF VALUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to its Resolution 98-04-069, the City authorized the <br />commencement of an eminent domain action for acquisition of fee title to that property described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Outlot B, GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK, Anoka County, Minnesota; <br /> <br />AND <br /> <br />That part of Lot 1, Block 1, BURY & CARLSON ADDITION, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the most northerly comer of said Outlot B; thence North 70 degrees 38 <br />minutes 07 seconds East, assumed beating, along the northeasterly extension of the <br />northerly line of said Outlot B a distance of 14.08 feet; thence south 25 degrees 28 <br />minutes 32 seconds East a distance of 359.05 feet; thence southeasterly along a tangential <br />curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 550.00 feet; a central angle of 41 <br />degrees 13 minutes 12 seconds, a distance of 395.68 feet; thence South 66 degrees 41 <br />minutes 44 seconds East a distance of 247.02 feet to the east line of said Lot 1; thence <br />southerly along the east line of said Lot 1 to its intersection with the northeasterly line of <br />said Outlot B; thence northwesterly along said northeasterly line to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />which parcels are identified as Anoka County PIN: 27-32-25-34-0005 and PIN: 27-32-25-33- <br />0009 (the "Subject Parcels"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of the Subject Parcels has been identified as Bury & Carlson, <br />Inc., a Minnesota corporation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of this property acquisition is to acquire property where the <br />City has already constructed a sanitary sewer line and to acquire necessary tight of way for the <br />construction of a watermain and future street construction to accommodate the completion of <br />McKinley Street NW; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a part of the condemnation action the City authorized that the Subject <br />Parcels to be acquired be appraised to determine the damages incurred by the owner as a result of <br />this taking; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's appraiser, Herman Appraisal Services, Inc., has completed a <br />preliminary appraisal of the Subject Parcels. <br /> <br /> <br />
