Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-10-256 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0475 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM STEPHEN AND BARBARA DVORAK FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO EXCEED THE MAXIMUM SINGLE ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SIZE ALLOWED <br />ON PARCELS 1 ACRE OR LESS IN SIZE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Steven and Barbara <br />Dvorak for a conditional use permit to exceed the maximum single accessory structure size <br />allowed on the property generally known as 6641 157th Avenue NW and legally described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 2, High Point, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on September 9, 1998, Stephen and Barbara Dvorak, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Applicants", properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the maximum single <br />accessory structure size allowed on parcels one acre or less in size. <br /> <br />That the Applicants appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on October 6, 1998, and that said public heating <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public heating are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is approximately .9 acres in size <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code states that on parcels 1 acre or less in size, the <br />total of attached and detached garages or accessory buildings shall not exceed 1,488 square <br />feet. <br /> <br />6. That the Applicants currently has a 528 square foot attached garage and is proposing to <br /> construct an additional 936 square foot garage, for a total of 1,464 square feet. <br /> <br />7. That the total square footage for the existing and proposed garage is 24 square feet under the <br /> total allowable garage space on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />8. That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code also states that the maximum single accessory <br /> structure size allowed on parcels 1 acre or less in size is 624 square feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
