Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #98-11-288 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF THE ROAD AND BRIDGE COMMITTEE <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2.01.07 of the Ramsey City Code provides that the City Council <br />may create such committees, standing or special, as it deems necessary; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has established a standing committee named the Road and <br />Bridge Committee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Committee deals with public works projects and <br />policies beyong the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the standing City Council committee formerly known as the Road and Bridge <br />Committee is hereby named the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
