Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for it's <br />adoption; <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-12-300 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RECEIPT OF AN AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL <br />DEFIBRILLATOR FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR <br />THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in July of 1998, the Ramsey Police Department applied for a grant from the <br />Department of Public Safety for an Automatic External Defibrillator Unit. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 16, 1998, the Department of Public Safety selected the <br />Ramsey Police Department as a recipient of (1) Laerdal / Heartstream Defibrillator Unit <br />at no cost to the City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA; as follows <br /> <br />1. That the City Council hereby authorizes the acceptance of(l) Laerdal / <br />Heartstream Automatic Defibrillator Unit from the Minnesota Department of Public <br />Safety. <br /> <br />2. That the City Council authorizes Police Chief David Gustafson to sign off on the <br />grant agreement between the State of Minnesota and the City of Ramsey for the <br />acceptance of this unit. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />And the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />And the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
