Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-12-310 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/FIRE CHIEF DEAN KAPLER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dean K. Kapler was appointed Public Works Director/Fire Chief of the <br />City of Ramsey, effective January 1998, subject to a one-year probationary period; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dean K. Kapler has successfully completed his probationary period and his <br />performance has been documented as more than satisfactory by the City Administrator; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its December 15, 1998 meeting agreed with <br />the staff recommendation to end the probationary period for Public Works Director/Fire Chief <br />Dean Kapler, effective December 31, 1998. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Public Works Director/Fire <br />Chief Dean K. Kapler, effective December 31, 1998. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
