Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-01-003 RESOLUTION APPROVING 1ST PARTIAL PAYMENT TO W.B. MILLER, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-22 (WATER/MAIN LOOPING) WHEREAS, on August 25, 1998, the Ramsey City Council approved this project; and WHEREAS, on October 27, 1998, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #98-10- 262 awarding the bid for watermain looping in the City of Ramsey (Improvement Project #98- 22) to W.B. Miller, Inc. in the amount orS115,510.85; and WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski inspected the completed work and recommended partial payment to W.B. Miller, Inc. in the amount o£$90,857.12; and WHEREAS, on December 30, 1998, Mayor Thomas G. Gamec authorized payment to W.B. Miller, Inc. in the amount of $90,857.12 to be included in the year-end accounts payable for 1998. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby recognizes Mayor Gamec's authority approving partial payment to W.B. Miller, Inc. for watermain looping in the City of Ramsey (Improvement Project #98-22) in the amount of $90,857.12. 2) That the total amount of this payment was included in Resolution #99-01-001 approving payment of accounts payable invoicing received during the period of December 5, 1998 through December 30, 1998. 3) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department receive a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi Mayor Gamec Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Haas Steffen Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Hendriksen and the following voted against the same: None
