Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-04-059 RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB APPLICATION FOR A PREMISE PERMITS FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT HOLM'S SUPERBOWL, M&L LIQUOR, AND THE BAYOU IN RAMSEY WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has applied for a premise permit for gambling at Holm's Superbowl, 6720 Riverdale Drive; M&L Liquor, 5900-167th Avenue NW; The Bayou, 6937 Highway 10NW, Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club provides opportunities and services to the residents of Ramsey with monies derived from lawful gambling operations; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has requested Council waive the 30-day notice provision; and WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the Ramsey Lions Club to operate lawful gambling at Holm's Superbowl, 6720 Riverdale Drive; M&L Liquor, 5900~167th Avenue NW; The Bayou, 6937 Highway 10NW, Ramsey. 2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board.
