Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION/199-04-071 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR SIX MONTHS <br />FOR FINANCE CLERK JOAN SMITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Joan Smith began employment at the City of Ramsey on September 21, <br />1998, as a Finance Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in a performance review on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, Ms. Smith's <br />supervisors have requested a six-month extension on Joan Smith's probationary period, effective <br />Mamh 21, 1999; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its April 27, 1999 meeting agreed with the <br />recommendation to extend Joan Smith's probationary period for six months, effective March 21, <br />1999. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to extend the probationary period for Joan Smith for six <br />months, effective March 21, 1999. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That following the six-month extension, another performance appraisal will be <br />conducted addressing the concerns outlined in the April 1999 performance review. A <br />recommendation on the status of the employee will be made to the Personnel <br />Committee, to be forwarded to City Council for consideration <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Anderson, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />And the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />And the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />And the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 99-04-071 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
