Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION//99-07-129 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARDING OF BID FOR NEW FIRE ENGINE TO <br />CUSTOM FIRE APPARATUS IN THE AMOUNT OF $213,135 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ity Council authorized staff to solicit bids for a new fire engine on March <br />23, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received five proposals by the June 1, 1999, application date, with <br />two of the proposals most closely meeting the desired specifications; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Custom Fire Apparatus submitted the lowest bid of the two proposals at <br />$213,335; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, financing has been incorporated over a three-year period, with installments <br />placed in the Capital Improvement Revolving Fund to finance such purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, $225,000 is the total amount of funding included in this three-year <br />installment plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes staff to accept the bid of Custom Fire Appartus <br />in the amount of $213,135 for the construction and delivery of a fire engine per specifications in <br />the proposal. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Garnet <br /> Councilmember Anderson <br /> Councilmember Hendriksen <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
