Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-07-130 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 83.33 ACRES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF RAMSEY'S COMMUNITY PARK #5 IN THE AMOUNT OF $205,000 WITH PAYMENTS OF $120,000 ON DECEMBER 31, 1998, AND $85,000 PAYABLE ON JUNE 30, 1999, WITH FUNDING FROM THE PARK TRUST FUND WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting of December 8, 1998, staff was authorized to purchase 83.33 acres of property from Mr. Vernon Halderson in the amount of $205,000 for the establishment of Community Park #5; and WHEREAS, payment for the land was to be in two installments with $120,000 payable on December 31, 1998, and $85,000 payable on June 30, 1999; and WHEREAS, funding for the purchase would be from the Park Trust Fund using the Park Dedication fees that apply to the Oak Park District; and WHEREAS, needed funding exceeds the dedication fees, the Park Trust Fund will 'cover' the needed costs, with funding to the Park Trust Fund to be replaced from sources to be determined at a later date. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of 83.33 acres of property from Mr. Vernon Halderson in the amount of $205,000 payable in two installments on December 31, 1998, in the amount of $120,000, and June 30, 1999, in the amount of $85,000 from the Park Trust Fund for the establishment of Community Park #5. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against: None and the following abstained: None
