Councilmember Connolly introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-08-147 RESOLUTION RESTRICTING ARMSTRONG AND VARIOLITE REQUIREMENTS PARKING ON 153rd/155th IN CONFORMANCE WITH BETWEEN STATE AID WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey ("City") has submitted to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the plans and specifications for the construction of 153rd/155th Avenue NW from Armstrong Boulevard NW to Variolite Street NW; and WHEREAS, the "City" will be expending Municipal Street Funds on the improvements of this Street; and WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project must, therefore, be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions; and WHEREAS, the approved state aid standards as applicable to this project limit and restrict all parking to that which is parallel with the curb. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the "City" shall ban the Parking of motor vehicles on 153rd/155th Avenue NW at all times, except on the south side from STA. 104+39.48 to STA. 108+46.30, and from STA. 116+15.00 to STA. 130+85.97 on the south side. 2) That the City of Ramsey shall require that parking of all vehicles within the rd th corporate limits on 153 /155 Avenue NW, State Aid Route No. 199-101-09 be parallel with the curb in accordance with the State Aid Standards. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Connolly Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Anderson Councihnember Hendriksen
