Couneilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-10-197 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD EXTENSION FOR <br /> FINANCE CLERK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Joan Smith began employment at the City of Ramsey on September <br />21, 1998, as a Finance Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 27, 1999, the Ramsey City Council authorized providing a <br />six-month extension to the Finance Clerk's existing six month probationary period to <br />provide more time for evaluation; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Smith's supervisor has provided a satisfactory employee <br />performance appraisal for Joan Smith, and recommended retaining Ms. Smith at the City <br />of Ramsey as a regular part-time Finance Clerk, effective on Ms. Smith's one-year <br />anniversary date of September 21, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its October 12, 1999 meeting agreed <br />with the recommendation to retain Joan Smith as a regular, part-time Finance Clerk, <br />effective on Ms. Smith's one-year anniversary date of September 21, 1999. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Joan Smith and change <br />her status to regular, part-time Finance Clerk, effective on Ms. Smith's one-year <br />anniversary date of September 21, 1999. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Connolly, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamee <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />And the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
