Council member Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-10-202 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCESS FOR APPROVAL OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />PROJECT AREA <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. Recitals.. <br /> <br /> (a) Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.090 through 469.1081, the <br />Economic Development Authority of the City of Ramsey (the "Authority") is authorized <br />to exercise development and redevelopment powers; and <br /> <br /> (b) It has been proposed that the Authority establish a Redevelopment Project <br />Area in connection with the construction and equipping of a fire station (the "Redevel- <br />opment Project Area"); and adopt the Redevelopment Plan for the Redevelopment Project <br />Area (the "Plan"); all pursuant to and in conformity with applicable law; and <br /> <br /> (c) Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.028, Subdivision 1 requires that the <br />Authority request that the Council hold a public hearing on the Plan. <br /> <br /> 2. Public Hearing. The Council will hold a public hearing on the Plan at a meeting <br />of the Council to be held at the Ramsey City Hall on Tuesday, October 26, 1999, commencing at <br />7:00 p.m., Central Daylight Savings Time. The staff of the City is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the notice of public hearing which is attached to this Resolution to be published <br />in the City's official newspaper not more than 30 and not less than 10 days prior to the scheduled <br />hearing date. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />And the following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-10-202 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
