Councilmember Connolly introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-12-224 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION OF AN ADDITIONAL 60 DAY REVIEW <br />PERIOD OF AN INTERIM USE PERMIT FOR A TEMPORARY OFFICE STRUCTURE <br />FOR TRANSWEST, INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Transwest Inc. has applied for an interim use permit for a temporary structure <br />for the purposes of providing additional office space on the property generally known as 6100 <br />Industry Avenue N.W. and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 2, Block 1, Park 67 Industrial Park, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 27, 1997, the City Council issued an interim use permit to the Subject <br />Property for the utilization of temporary office structure and said permit expired on August 1, 1998. <br /> That on October 27, 1998, the City Council issued a second interim use permit to the subject <br />property for the utilization of a temporary office stmcture and said permit expired on September 30, <br />1999. <br /> <br />That the applicant is requesting continued use of the temporary office structure on the Subject <br />Property until October 31, 2003, the termination of Transwest's lease of the Subject Property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on November 8, 1999, conducted the public <br />hearing, and recommended to Council the request, because of failure of the applicant to be present <br />for questioning, be continued; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey determined it needs additional time to review and adopt <br />new text supporting the processing and applications of interim use permits; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the text amendment will require recommendation by the Planning Commission <br />and action by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That based on findings of fact that the reviewal period for the requested application for an <br />interim use permit be extended an additional 60 days. <br /> <br />2. That the applicant be allowed to continue their operations during this review process. <br /> <br />That the applicant will be allowed to reapply and be processed under the new adopted <br />ordinance upon notification by the City. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-12-224 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
