Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#24-217 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO RESHETAR SYSTEMS FOR RAMSEY VILLAS NORTH SOUND WALL IMPROVEMENTS; IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #22-17 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to construct sound wall improvements along the west boundary of the Ramsey Villas North plat to address concerns raised by local property owners due to excessive noise generated by vehicle traffic on Highway 47; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-150, adopted May 28, 2024, the Mayor and City Administrator were authorized and directed to execute Minnesota Department of Transportation(MnDOT) Cooperative Construction Agreement No. 1056358 for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey, to permit the City to construct and maintain City Improvement Project #22-17 on MnDOT right-of-way in accordance with the terms of the agreement; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-150, adopted May 28, 2024, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-180, adopted July 9, 2024, a contract was awarded to Reshetar Systems of Anoka, Minnesota, in the amount of $58,001.28 for said improvements; and WHEREAS, as of August 27, 2024 $0.00 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to Reshetar Systems of Anoka, Minnesota, for improvement project #22-17, Ramsey Villas North Sound Wall Improvements, in the amount of$58,001.28. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Reshetar Systems of Anoka, Minnesota for Improvement Project #22-17, Ramsey Villas North Sound Wall Improvements in the amount of $581001.28. 2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of August 27, 2024. 4) The City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
