Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#24-231 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CHANGE ORDER #3 FOR HALLS DOVER ACRES STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-02 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Halls Dover Acres subdivision; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-198, adopted August 22,2023,the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvements; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-014, adopted January 9, 2024, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-064, adopted February 26, 2024, Dave Perkins Contracting of Nowthen,Minnesota,was awarded the construction contract in the amount of $844,919.01 for the total bid construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-097, adopted April 9, 2024, City Council approved Change Order No.l increasing construction costs by $2,253.00 for the purpose of allowing the connection to City water service as requested by the residents at 6014 157'Lane NW; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-185, adopted July 9, 2024, City Council approved Change Order No.2 increasing construction costs by $81,775.05 for the purpose of connecting the trunk watermain to the existing watermain located at 155'Avenue NW; and WHEREAS, during construction, it has been found that the existing watermain pipe size called out in the as-builts for the proposed connection location at 155'Avenue is not correct; and WHEREAS, a 12-inch wet tap was required and the 8-inch wet tap required re-stocking; and WHEREAS, Change Order No.3 increases construction costs by $10,560.00 for the purpose of completing the trunk watermain connection to the existing watermain located at 155'Avenue NW. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The City Council hereby approves Change Order #3 in the total amount of$10,560.00 for Dave Perkins Contracting to complete the trunk watermain connection to the existing watermain located at 155'Avenue NW. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same:
