Weekly UPDAT <br />Administrator's Report <br />Council Update <br />Photo by Kelly Dahl, Parkplace Studio Photography <br />September 6, 2024 <br />2024 Parks and Recreation Events <br />Happy Days is tomorrow and preparations are underway <br />to make it a fun day for everyone. The day starts at Elmcrest <br />with a 5K and Youth Fun Run. The parade at 11:00 a.m. <br />kicks off the festivities along Sunwood Drive NW. There are <br />plenty of activities for everyone, including kids' games and <br />inflatables, a business expo, bingo, dog and car shows, live <br />music, food trucks, art and more. <br />The entertainment starts at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday with <br />Jacuzzi Puma at 8:30 p.m. Free Fallin' - The Tom Petty <br />Concert Experience takes the stage with all of Tom Petty's <br />classic hits. Stick around for the spectacular fireworks show <br />at 10:00 p.m. <br />There are also plenty of food options at one of the many <br />vendors. Check out who will be at Happy Days at www. <br />cityoframsey.com/816. <br />See the full schedule at www.cityoframsey.com/343. <br />Hope to see you there! <br />Join Ramsey's Park & Recreation Commission for <br />an evening of family -friendly celebration for the grand <br />opening of a brand new, unique playground on Thursday, <br />September 12, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The Hollow's <br />playground is nestled within a lovely stand of mature <br />trees protected from development, and play elements are <br />attached to 325 feet of elevated boardwalk that brings <br />children into the treetops —come and see, and take a ride <br />on the zipline too! <br />Food will be available for purchase. The menu includes <br />hot dogs, brats, hamburgers or turkey burgers, chips, <br />nachos, State Fair Mini Donuts, and beverages. <br />Enjoy Reconnecting with your neighbors, meeting new <br />friends, and staying for the September Parks Commission <br />meeting to hear about the City's latest park and trail <br />initiatives and provide your thoughts. The Park & <br />Recreation Commission meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. with <br />Citizen's Input.
