This is the first time that
Ramsey Fire has received a donation from SMSC, and these
donated AEDs will replace some of Ramsey Fire's current
aging equipment. SMSC representative Kelsey Scares the
Hawk presented the AEDs to Fire Chief Matt Kohner,
Assistant Fire Chief Carey Schiferli and Fire Captain of
Administration and Logistics Jason Sufka. Ramsey Fire
is thankful for the partnership and spirit of the Native
Community in helping others with such critical equipment.
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, at any
age, at any time. Having access to an automated external
defibrillator (AED) can drastically help those experiencing
a life -threatening episode. The SMSC is proud to provide
recipients with these lifesaving devices.
The Dakota people have a strong tradition of generosity
and helping others, known as wookiya. The SMSC
continues to honor this tradition by contributing to causes,
organizations, and tribes across the region, state, and
country. The SMSC is one of the top charitable givers in
Minnesota and Indian Country. The SMSC has donated
over $370 million to organizations and causes, provided
$500 million in economic development loans to other
tribes, and contributed millions more to support regional
governments and infrastructure.
Attachments
Flyer: Happy Days Information, Schedule, Sponsor Sheet,
5K & Youth Fun Run and Car Show
Flyer: We Are Hiring
Flyer: Anoka Tornadoes Hockey
Best regards,
Brian Hagen
City Administrator
CITY OF RAMSEY Weekly UPDATE I September 6, 2024 3
