Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-080 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING GRANT FROM SIGN AND AWNING PROGRAM TO <br /> BOSSMAN INC. (CHANTICLEAR GRILL) <br /> WHEREAS, City Staff worked with with Bossman Inc. (The "Applicant") to identify a <br /> Ramsey location for a full service, sit down restaurant concept; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant has filled out a complete application for the Sign and Awning <br /> program at 7900 Sunwood Drive NW,Unit 1 OOA and has requested$1,5 00 to fund the signage for <br /> this new restaurant/bakery; and <br /> WHEREAS, utilization of the Sign and Awning program is based on the availability of <br /> EDA marketing funds (9230-6246) on an annual basis and is awarded on a case by case basis; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Applicant has received two quotes and the cost for the restaurant signage <br /> is $26,100; and <br /> WHEREAS, The EDA met on March 14, 2024 and unanimously recommended awarding <br /> $1,500 to Bossman Inc. (Chanticlear Grill) from the Sign and Awning program; and <br /> WHEREAS,Bossman Inc. is a company that is active and in good standing as documented <br /> in the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State as of March 14, 2024. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br /> COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the City Council authorizes awarding a grant of $1500 from the Sign and Awning <br /> Program to Bossman Inc. to be funded through 9230-6246 (EDA Marketing); subject to <br /> Economic Development Manager review, and completion and inspection of the project. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br /> thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> and the following abstained: <br />
