Councilmember Howell introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION#24-247 <br /> RESOLUTION REQUESTING ANOKA COUNTY TO WITHHOLD CERTAIN TAX <br /> FORFEIT LAND (15-32-25-43-0001) FROM PUBLIC SALE AND AUTHORIZING <br /> ACQUISITION OF TAX FORFEIT PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC PURPOSE <br /> WHEREAS, Unplatted land legally described as The South 46 feet of the North 66 feet <br /> of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 32, Range 25 lying <br /> easterly of County State Aid Highway Number 56, together with the South 46 feet of the North <br /> 66 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section, subject to easements <br /> of record, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, PIN 415-32-25-43-0001, has forfeited to <br /> the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes (the "Subject Property"); and <br /> WHEREAS,the parcel lies within the desired Right of Way of 159 h Avenue NW Ramsey, <br /> MN 55303; and <br /> WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the City to acquire the Subject Property <br /> A for road right-of-way, construction and maintenance public purposes. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESTOA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the Mayor, City Administrator and City Clerk are hereby authorized to complete the <br /> application for a state use deed and any other necessary paperwork to secure ownership of <br /> the Subject Property for future roadway/right of way purposes. <br /> 2) That the Council hereby authorizes the costs the City would incur by acquiring the tax <br /> forfeit properties to be taken from the PIR Fund for the acquisition of Subject Property. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Musgrove, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br />
