Councilmember Howell introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-231 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CHANGE ORDER #3 FOR HALLS DOVER ACRES <br /> STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-02 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Halls Dover <br /> Acres subdivision; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-198, adopted August 22, <br /> 2023, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said <br /> improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-014, adopted January 9, <br /> 2024, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer <br /> and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-064, adopted February 26, <br /> 2024, Dave Perkins Contracting of Nowthen, Minnesota, was awarded the construction contract <br /> in the amount of $844,919.01 for the total bid construction of the improvements in accordance <br /> with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-097, adopted April 9,2024, <br /> City Council approved Change Order No.1 increasing construction costs by $2,253.00 for the <br /> purpose of allowing the connection to City water service as requested by the residents at 6014 <br /> 157'h Lane NW; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-185, adopted July 9, 2024, <br /> City Council approved Change Order No.2 increasing construction costs by $81,775.05 for the <br /> purpose of connecting the trunk watermain to the existing watermain located at 155 h Avenue NW; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, during construction, it has been found that the existing watermain pipe size <br /> called out in the as-builts for the proposed connection location at 155 h Avenue is not correct; and <br /> WHEREAS, a 12-inch wet tap was required and the 8-inch wet tap required re-stocking; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Change Order No.3 increases construction costs by $10,560.00 for the <br /> purpose of completing the trunk watermain connection to the existing watermain located at 155 h <br /> Avenue NW. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The City Council hereby approves Change Order 43 in the total amount of$10,560.00 for <br /> Dave Perkins Contracting to complete the trunk watermain connection to the existing <br /> watermain located at 155 h Avenue NW. <br />
