Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #24-228 RESOLUTION APPROVING A PARTIAL VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT AT 14220 BASALT STREET NORTHWEST RECITALS WHEREAS, Quad Logic (the "Applicant") has requested a vacation of a portion of a platted drainage and utility easement on the property generally known as 14220 Basalt Street NW and legally described as: Lot 5, Block 4 Gateway North Industrial Plat 2 (the "Subject Property"); and WHEREAS, a public hearing, pursuant to Section 106-260 (Easement Vacation) of the Ramsey City Code and Section 12.6 of the City Charter, was held on August 27, 2024, and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are available; and WHEREAS, Comcast provided notice that they have no utilities in the easement; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Engineering Department has reviewed the request and has no objection to the partial easement vacation. FINDINGS OF FACT 1. That the easement vacation will not violate the intent and purpose of the Comprehensive Plan. 2. That the easement vacation is necessary to accommodate a building expansion on the Subject Property. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants vacating the following portion of the platted drainage easement within the Subject Property and as shown on Exhibit 1: That part of the drainage and utility easenent dedicated on the recorded of GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK PLAT 2, Anoka County, Minnesota described as follows: The east 5.00 feet of the west 10.00 of Lot 5, Block 4, said GATEWAY NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK PLAT 2, lying north of the south 20.00 feet thereof and lying southwesterly of the northeasterly 10.00 feet thereof
