Councilmember Woestehoff introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #24-228 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A PARTIAL VACATION OF DRAINAGE AND UTILITY <br />EASEMENT AT 14220 BASALT STREET NORTHWEST <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, Quad Logic (the "Applicant") has requested a vacation of a portion of a <br />platted drainage and utility easement on the property generally known as 14220 Basalt Street NW <br />and legally described as: <br />Lot 5, Block 4 Gateway North Industrial Plat 2 <br />(the "Subject Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing, pursuant to Section 106-260 (Easement Vacation) of the <br />Ramsey City Code and Section 12.6 of the City Charter, was held on August 27, 2024, and that <br />said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />available; and <br />WHEREAS, Comcast provided notice that they have no utilities in the easement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Engineering Department has reviewed the request and has no <br />objection to the partial easement vacation. <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br />1. That the easement vacation will not violate the intent and purpose of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />2. That the easement vacation is necessary to accommodate a building expansion on the Subject <br />Property. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants vacating the following portion of the platted <br />drainage easement within the Subject Property and as shown on Exhibit 1: <br />That part of the drainage and utility easenent dedicated on the recorded of GATEWAY <br />NORTH INDUSTRIAL PARK PLAT 2, Anoka County, Minnesota described as follows: <br />The east 5.00 feet of the west 10.00 of Lot 5, Block 4, said GATEWAY NORTH <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK PLAT 2, lying north of the south 20.00 feet thereof and lying <br />southwesterly of the northeasterly 10.00 feet thereof <br />
