Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #24-276 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 TO NORTHDALE CONSTRUCTION <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-08, WATER TREATMENT PLANT TRUNK <br />WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-305 adopted November 28, 2023, <br />a construction contract was awarded to Northdale Construction Co. Inc., of Albertville, Minnesota, in the <br />amount of $6,671,414.00 for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, during construction, field changes were required to extend watermain across <br />Bunker Lake Boulevard using the open cutting method instead of directional drilling as planned; and <br />WHEREAS, during construction, a large mass of buried concrete with embedded large diameter <br />rebar was encountered under 143rd Avenue requiring removal using a larger backhoe with a concrete <br />ripper/jack hammer attachment; and <br />WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3 documents the required field changes completed by Northdale <br />Construction for improvement project #21-08, WTP Trunk Watermain Improvements, in the amount of <br />$124,765.45. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby approves Change Order No. 3 to Northdale Construction of Albertville, <br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #21-08, WTP Trunk Watermain Improvement in the amount <br />of $124,765.45. <br />2) The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Administrator to sign Change Order No. <br />3 on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />Resolution #24-276 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
