6. 5. <br />CC Regular Session New <br />Meeting Date: <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: <br />09/24/2024 <br />Not Applicable <br />Title: <br />Authorization to Hire a Temporary Building Inspector <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to seek City Council authorization to hire a temporary Building Inspector. <br />The reason for this request is due to the recent resignation of Building Inspector/Plans Examiner, Ms. Trisha <br />Lindahl. Ms. Lindahl accepted an Assistant Building Official position with another city. With her resignation, <br />the City of Ramsey will not have an in-house Building Inspector/Plans Examiner until at least December, after <br />back -filling her position. <br />In an attempt to keep up with plan review during this transition period, Ms. Lindahl offered to stay on as a <br />temporary employee, working 14 or fewer hours per week, as needed, through December 31, 2024.
