6. 7. <br /> CC Regular Session <br /> Meeting Date: 10/08/2024 <br /> Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Enhance City's communication through transparency and accountability. <br /> Title <br /> Adopt Resolution#24-274 Appointing Election Judges for the General Election on November 5, 2024. <br /> Purpose/Background: <br /> For each Election, Council is asked to formally appoint Election Judges to work at the polling locations. A <br /> resolution is attached appointing Election Judges to serve for the General Election scheduled for November <br /> 5,2024. <br /> Minnesota State Statute 204B.21 is attached. The statute requires election judges to be appointed at least 25 days <br /> prior to the election. Ramsey will have nine polling locations open for the election. Staffs recommendation at this <br /> time is to secure seven to eleven judges for each location. In almost all cases, a few judges end up not being <br /> able to work the day of the election.
