<br />WHEREAS, the total City share of the construction projects is $36,190,559 that includes <br />payment made for work to date and future payments on the remaining construction contracts. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The Special Appropriation Grant Funds awarded to the city of Ramsey to construct a new <br />1) <br />water treatment facility and trunk watermain to remove manganese and iron from the city's <br />water supply are hereby accepted. <br /> <br />2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to work with the Minnesota <br />Public Facilities Authority for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey to enter into a Grant <br />Agreement with the following considerations; <br /> <br />a. That the City of Ramsey has the legal authority to apply for the grant, and <br />the financial, technical, and managerial capacity to ensure proper <br />construction, operation and maintenance of the project for its design life. <br /> <br />b. That the Grant Agreement shall be executed on behalf of the City of <br />Ramsey by the signature of its Mayor and its City Administrator. In the <br />event of disability or resignation or other absence of either such officer, <br />the Grant Agreement may be signed by the manual signature of that officer <br />who may act on behalf of such absent or disabled officer. In case either <br />such officer whose signature shall appear on the Grant Agreement shall <br />cease to be such officer before delivery of the Grant Agreement, such <br />signature shall nevertheless be valid and sufficient for all purposes, the <br />same as if he or she had remained in office until delivery. <br /> <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Olson <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution #24-286 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />
