The Business Network Event has traditionally had a start time of 8 AM and usually runs for just over an <br />hour. Staff is supportive of keeping the time the same. Staff consulted with Ben Utecht of Champions <br />Creed and the Ramsey Gateway Project Communications Team and they are both available on January <br />29, 2025. Staff is asking the Anoka County and the Communications team to put together a table with <br />maps showing what has been completed and what is upcoming for 2025. <br />City Staff (Sullivan, Hagen, Hanson and others) would also put together a City presentation and be <br />available for some questions on relevant topics. <br />Staff is proposing the following agenda: <br />1. Networking & Breakfast - Will have display set up with Hwy 10 intersections and alignments <br />2. Welcome & Introductions - EDA Chair, or assignee <br />3. City Update / Hwy 10 Project - City Staff, Ramsey Gateway Communications team <br />4. Keynote Speaker: - Ben Utecht, Champions Creed (Company Culture) <br />6. Closing Remarks - EDA Chair or Assignee <br />Staff is looking for feedback on the proposed agenda. In the event that a Keynote Speaker is not <br />selected, Staff is open to other ideas and could ask for longer presentations relating to the City and <br />Highway 10 project. <br />Alternatives include: <br />1) Allocate $6,500 for the 2025 Business Network Meeting at La Fontaine Event Center, select La <br />Fontaine as the caterer and hire Keynote Speaker Ben Utecht on January 29, 2025 <br />2) Allocate $4,000 for the 2025 Business Network Meeting at La Fontaine Event Center, select La <br />Fontaine as the caterer on January 29, 2025 <br />3) Something Else <br />Funding Source: <br />EDA allocation of $4000 to $6,500 from 9230-6249 (Operating) and 9230-6246 (Marketing) <br />Recommendation: <br />Allocate $6,500 for the 2025 Business Network Meeting at La Fontaine Event Center, select La Fontaine as the caterer and <br />hire Keynote Speaker Ben Utecht on January 29, 2025 <br />EDA allocation of $6,500 from 9230-6249 (Operating) and 9230-6246 (Marketing) <br />Outcome/Action: <br />Motion to: <br />1) Allocate $4,000 or $6,500 for the 2025 Business Network Meeting at La Fontaine Event Center, <br />select LaFontaine as the caterer and hire Keynote Speaker Ben Utecht. <br />2) Approve the proposed Agenda. <br />3) Approve the following preferred date of January 29, 2025, or other date if modifications are <br />necessary for the 2025 Business Network Meeting. <br />Attachments <br />2025 Proposed Budget Options <br />Venue / Food Quote <br />Draft Contract <br />Draft Flyer <br />Champions Creed Information <br />
