Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #24-280 RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 1 TO KURILLA CONTRACTING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-54; THE WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS,the City of Ramsey Proposes to construct trail construction project that would circumnavigate the 7+ acre pond that is in place now; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Case 45.06, adopted February 13, 2024, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized advertising bids for Improvement Project 424-54; The Waterfront Improvement; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-131,adopted May 14,2024,abudget was approved for The Waterfront of $345,759 for the park, including the contract awarded to Kurilla Contracting of Buffalo,Minnesota,in the amount of$169,165.00 for said trail improvements;and WHEREAS,as of October 8,2024$0.00 has been paid to date;and WHEREAS,the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment No. 1 to Kurilla Contracting of Buffalo, Minnesota, for said project, in the amount of $145,701.88. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 1 to Kurilla Contracting of Buffalo, Minnesota for Improvement Project 424-54, The Waterfront Improvement in the amount of$145,701.88. 2) The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payments of bills for the date of October 8, 2024. 4) The City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
