6. 16. CC Regular Session Meeting Date: 10/22/2024 Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Address infrastructure needs. Title: Adopt Resolution #24-302 Amending the Design Services Proposal from Bolton & Menk, Inc. for Dickenson's Mississippi Estates Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-04 Purpose/Background: Purpose: The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #24-302 amending the design services proposal from Bolton & Menk, Inc. for Dickenson's Mississippi Estate Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-04. Background: With Resolution #24-196 the Ramsey City Council accepted a design services proposal Dickenson's Mississippi Estates Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-04, from Bolton & Menk for the not -to -exceed amount of $68,537.00. This project scope included replacement of watermain on Tungsten Street between Riverdale Drive and Rivlyn Avenue from the western cul-de-sac to the eastern edge of plat at the connection with Riverwalk Village. City Staff held a project design meeting with Bolton & Menk, to clarify any necessary design elements necessary for the project prior to development of the plans and specifications. At this meeting City Staff identified the watermain loop connection between Riverdale Drive and the Rivlyn Avenue cul-de-sac for replacement, with the remaining watermain in the project area. The watermain loop connection runs through existing drainage & utility easements across 6315 Rivlyn Avenue and 6322 Riverdale Drive. Because this watermain replacement was not included in the original design services proposal, Bolton & Menk has submitted a proposal for its inclusion. The proposal includes additional topographic survey of the watermain route, as well as design and plan production costs, for a total not -to -exceed amount of $9,296.00. Notification: Staff will send notification letters to the impacted properties to notify them of the topographic survey. Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: Alternatives: Motion to adopt Resolution #24-302 amending the design services proposal from Bolton & Menk, Inc. for Dickenson's Mississippi Estate Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-04. Funding Source: Funding for this design services amendment is proposed to come from Water Utility Funds. Recommendation: Staff recommends adopting Resolution #24-302 amending the design services proposal from Bolton & Menk, Inc. for Dickenson's Mississippi Estate Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-04.
