Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #24-268 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO CORRECTIVE: ASPHALT <br />MATERIALS, LLC. OF SOUTH ROXANA, ILLINOIS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#24-09; 2024 PAVEMENT REJUVENATION IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey can most cost-effectively maximize the life of the <br />bituminous pavement on public streets by applying pavement rejuvenators; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted budget for 2024 includes $575,000.00 for street <br />maintenance contracted services, including to apply pavement rejuvenator on numerous public street <br />segments in support of the City's Pavement Management Program; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-013, adopted January 9, 2024 the <br />City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for 2024 Pavement <br />Rejuvenation, Improvement Project #24-09, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-1 11, adopted April 23, 2024, the <br />City Council approved final plans and specifications and authorized advertisement for bids for the same <br />improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-140, adopted May 28, 2024, a <br />contract was awarded to Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC of South Roxana, Illinois, in the amount of <br />$239,816.16 for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, as of October 22, 2024 2024 $0.00 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC, of South Roxana, Illinois for <br />improvement project #24-09, 2024 Pavement Rejuvenator Improvements, in the amount of $250,525.44. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC, <br />of South Roxana, Illinois for Improvement Project #24-09, 2024 Pavement Rejuvenator <br />Improvements in the amount of $250,525.44. <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City <br />Administrator to sign form payment. <br />The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the date of October 22, 2024. <br />That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />
