Councilmember Howell introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION #24-293
<br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT No. 3 TO NORTHWEST ASPHALT
<br /> INC. FOR MSA XKIMO STREET RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
<br /> #24-05
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct MSA Xkimo Street between
<br /> Trunk Highway 47 and 142nd Avenue as identified within the 2024 — 2033 10-Year Capital
<br /> Improvement Program; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-200, adopted August 22,
<br /> 2023 Hakanson Anderson's proposal for engineering design services, including preparing final
<br /> plans and specifications, for MSA Xkimo Street Reconstruction, Improvement Project 424-05 in
<br /> the amount of$38,000.00 was accepted; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-279, adopted November
<br /> 14, 2023 the City Council awarded the proposal for geotechnical reports to Haugo Geotechnical
<br /> Services, LLC. for Improvement Project 424-05; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-034, adopted January 23,
<br /> 2024, the Riversbend 3rd, Riversbend 4 h, and Riverbend Plaza subdivisions were approved to be
<br /> included as part of the MSA Xkimo Street Reconstruction, Improvement Project 424-05; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-085, adopted on March 26,
<br /> 2024,the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by Hakanson Anderson
<br /> and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Hakanson Anderson submitted a proposal to provide construction services
<br /> included construction administration, construction staking, and construction observation of
<br /> $32,000 for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 424-125, adopted May 12,
<br /> 2024, a contract was awarded to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota, in the amount
<br /> of$842,253.75 for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, as of October 22, 2024 $531,351.75 has been paid to date; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br /> recommends partial payment No. 3 to Northwest Asphalt, Inc of Shakopee, Minnesota, for
<br /> improvement project 424-05 MSA Xkimo Street Reconstruction, in the amount of$156,314.03.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
