<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey Planning and ZOning Commission was held on <br />Tuesday, November 29, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Members Present: Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Benj amin Deemer <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Dr. Duane Kennen <br />Mr. Terry Hendricksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CALL TC ORDER <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the special meeting to order at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson adjourned the special meeting at 7:36 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public hearing: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. Flintwood Hills Second Addition Planned Unit Development. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the special meeting back to order at 8:37 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Case #1: Flintwood Hills Second Addition Planned Unit Development: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Commission review City Engineer's letter to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />dated November 23, 1983 regarding the proposed Flintwood II PUD. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that special attention should be given to" drainage <br />in the vicinity of Industry Blvd. so it doesn't affect Flintwood I. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka replied that he thinks the City has an easement all <br />the way to the County road. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding situating twin homes adjacent to Flintwood I <br />and posting speed signs on the MSA road. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired as to why single family dwellings were <br />planned in the core area of the PUD. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Carson replied that situating multiples in the core of the area would <br />require much grading and removal of mature trees. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~' <br /> <br />& ZjNovember <br />~.asc 1 of 2 <br /> <br />~, C, <br />.:..._"' <br /> <br />1983 <br />
