Councilmember introduced the following proposed resolution and moved for its adoptio : ' RESOLUTION i85- A PROPOSAL OF LANDFILL IMPACT ON MARKET VALUES ' WHEREAS, the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee, at their meeting of May 20, 1985, by motion requested that the City engage a firm to do an extensive market ' study of the affect the Anoka Landfill has on developed land and undeveloped land in the City of Ramseyj and WHEREAS, Council, at their meeting of May 28, 1985, directed that specifications be prepared to advertise for a firm to perform an extensive market study on the Anoka Landfill's affect on developed residential, commercial/industrial areas and vacant platted /unplatted lands (residential/ ' commercial) market values; and WHEREAS, the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee has submitted to the Council t for their approval specifications to engage a consulting firm to do a study on the affects the Anoka Landfill has on developed residential, commercial/ industrial areas and vacant Platted/unplatted lands (residential /commercial) market values. ' NOW 'it7FR WM HE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY. STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Council hereb � specifications to engage a firm to prepare a study on the effects e o u Lanct1 nos on oevP ' commercial/industrial areas and vacant platted / unplatted land (residential/ commercial) market values. 2) it is further directed that the following process be followed: a) That the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee solicit proposals from consultants in accordance with the approved specifications. ' b) That the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee interview the consultants in accordance with the specifications as approved and submit ' at least the top two firms that they feel best qualified to perform the study to Council for approval. c) Upon Council approval of a firm and the signing of an ' agreement, the Landfill Ad Hoc Committee will have the responsibility of working with the consulting firm in the completing of the study and reporting the findings to the City Council. 3) Enclosure (1) to this resolution contains a copy of the proposal specifications. ■ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in ' favor thereof: e and the following voted against the same: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey ' City Council this the day of r 1985.
