' Page 2
Mr. William K. Goodrich
RE: Steven and Sandra Johnson /City of Ramsey
August 14, 1985
The Johnsons would, if it would be necessary to have the variance granted,
be willing to reduce the size of the proposed structure to approximately
' 1000 square feet. I am enclosing herein for your reference a listing of
properties in the neighborhood and the general size of the accessory
structures thereon.
' We recognize the need for ordinances such as the one adopted by the City but
it does appear in the interest of fairness and uniform treatment to the
respective citizens that the variance requested by the Johnsons should have
' been granted. We are, therefore, respectively requesting that the matter be
placed on the adgenda for the upcoming council meeting to be reconsidered at
that time. The Johnsons believe the structure they wish to construct will
' present no hazardous or unsafe conditions, be located a sufficient distance
from neighbors properties, and will in essence be uniform in the relationship
to other similar structures already existing on the neighboring properties,
and otherwise be consistent with existing neighborhood conditions and therefore
a variance should be granted.
Please advise us if you feel that there are any problems in placing the matter
' on the adgenda for reconsideration or any other special facts and circumstances
that the staff or members of the council would like to have presented to them
in respect to this variance. The Johnsons will arrange to attend the next
t meeting of the council to be available to make a presentation and /or answer
any questions which the members of the council may have. Thank you for your
assistance and courtesy.
Sincerely,
STEFFEN, MUNSTENTEIGER, BEENS,
PETERSO
ald B. Peterson
RBP /da
cc: Steven and Sandra Johnson
