Mr. DeLuca
stated that the glass would only be received during monitored times
and the Conittee still has to look into liability, insurance, etc.
Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, ODuncilmembers ODx,
' Sorteberg, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None.
D. Waste Oil Recycling -
J
Mr. DeLuca stated that the Landfill Committee has been considering
the idea of having a waste oil collection tank being located on
City Public Works property and the proceeds of that operation being
placed in the City's general fund. the only requirements at this
'
time for collecting waste oil is that the storage tank meet city
Code.
CDun Reimann stated that the public works property is
cramped for space; there would also be a monitoring problem in that
people tend to dump other materials, such as gas, antifreeze and
'
cleaning solvents into that oil collection tank.
CDmncil consensus is that the Landfill Omnittee's suggestion is
reasonable but for the time being it would be best to advertise
and educate the public as to those waste oil collection points
already in the area.
July 29, 1985 Agenda -
t
Case #5: Engineering:
A.
