Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Anderson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Gengler, Commissioners VanScoy, Anderson, <br />Heineman, Hunt, and Peters. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Bauer. <br />Chairperson Gengler closed the public hearing at 7:30 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Motion by Commissioner Anderson, seconded by Commissioner Heineman, to adopt Resolution <br />#24-284 Granting a Variance to Height Restrictions for a Detached Accessory Building in the Side <br />Yard of the Subject Property. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Gengler, Commissioners Anderson, Heineman, Hunt, <br />Peters, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Bauer. <br />6.03: Public Hearing: Consider a Conditional Use Permit for Motor Vehicle Repair for <br />Blanery LLC at 6581 141st Avenue NW <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Gengler called the public hearing to order at 7:31 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />City Planner Martin presented the staff report stating that staff recommends motion to adopt the <br />Conditional Use Permit (CUP), contingent upon satisfying the conditions listed in Resolution #24- <br />303 and having updated plans in time for City Council review. <br />Commissioner VanScoy asked if there were any outstanding issues related to landscaping or any <br />other plan elements. <br />City Planner Martin commented that there are some minor issues that staff is working with the <br />architect on, primarily pertaining to lighting, but those are minor in nature and revised plans should <br />be received prior to City Council review. <br />Commissioner Anderson asked if the area would be fenced in the back part of the property with a <br />material that you could not see through. <br />City Planner Martin confirmed that the proposed fence would be fully opaque to ensure anything <br />parked in that area would not be visible from the right-of-way. <br />Citizen Input <br />Planning Commission/ October 24, 2024 <br />Page 5 of 15 <br />
