Regular Planning Commission <br />Meeting Date: 10/24/2024 <br />Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Promote economic growth and development. <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Adopt 2025 Planning Commission Calendar <br />7. 3. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Staff prepared a calendar based on the Commission's desire to keep the same fourth -Thursday schedule as in <br />previous years. The schedule works out for most of the year. Come November and December, the proposed <br />Planning Commission meeting dates are the third Thursdays due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. In <br />2025, the schedule would not work out if the Planning Commission meetings for those months were pushed back <br />one week as the corresponding Council meetings would be significantly later, or in the case of Christmas, the <br />following Thursday is New Year's Day, also a holiday. <br />Also of note, the September Planning Commission date (for the applications received in August) would be on the <br />25th, but staff is proposing to push it back one week due to the Planning Association's State Planning <br />Conference. The proposed meeting date is October 2 and anything heard on this date will still make the October <br />14 City Council meeting the same as if it were on September 25.
