conditions that make traveling hazardous, employees may secure lodging in locations that are less <br />than 40 miles away, until it is safe to return. <br />9.5 MEALS <br />When on City business, a maximum of three meals per day will be reimbursed by the City. <br />Attendees mush take advantage of all meals that are provided for and included in the <br />registration fee for workshops, conferences, or other assignments. The City will not reimburse for <br />alcoholic beverages, tobacco products or costs associated with family members. <br />Printed detailed meal receipts are required for and mustshould accompany a request for <br />reimbursement form. The detailed meal receipt must include the food and beverage items ordered. <br />The request for reimbursement form must include an explanation of the public purpose for the <br />meal and a list of the attendees. The receipts and reimbursement request form shall be submitted to <br />the Finance Department for payment. <br />The maximum reimbursement rates for meals, including taxes, and tips are as follows: <br />Note: The City will reimburse tips up to 20% of the bill (before, prior to taxes. The Department Head is responsible <br />for charged with presenting the annual training budget to the City Administrator.
